Department of Social Science professor receives Connection Grant to lead project driving social change

Five York-led projects have received funding from the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Connection Grants program. Connection Grants, which are provided over one year, support work including events, workshops and outreach activities driving social change, often leading to longer-term projects and collaborations outside of the university.

One of the funded projects is led by Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies professor Audrey Laurin-Lamonthe (Department of Social Science) in collaboration with eight other researchers. The project secured $24,770 for a one-year initiative exploring post-capitalist solidarities and transition frameworks.
